Crump Theatre: Columbus, IN
We teamed up with the folks from Eerie Radio for an investigation of the historic Crump Theatre in Columbus, IN. There are many claims in the old building and it has been investigated many times. We started with a tour, set up our equipment and then began our investigation. There are many claims of apparitions in the building as well as disembodied voices. Many of the groups how have invested the Crump Theatre have turned up tons of really good evidence.
The first 3/4 of the investigation was actually very quiet. We were unable to capture any evidence at all. We were having a good time and trying hard to get these spirits to manifest but it just wasn't happening. About 1 AM the atmosphere changed and the place started to light up...litterally.
One claim is that of a weird light enomoly in the womans lounge upstairs. While there was a team investigating up stairs there started to get unusually high isolated EMF readings in the womans bathroom. When left and walked across to the mens bathroom the action started to happen. There is a whole that you can see through to the womans restroom and there was a mysterious light that was shining from the other side. The team also started to get more unusal isolated high EMF readings in the bathroom.
They decided to come back to tech and have another team go up to see if they could get any responses. While investigating in the mens restroom an apparition appeared. Chris was standing in the doorway between the men's lounge and restroom and when he looked up there was a silhouette of a man looking over the top of the bathroom stall. Chris looked directly at the figure for about two seconds and then looked away. When he looked back at the figure it was gone. Immedietly he went and followed up with an EMF detector and there were no high EMF readings. He was standing in the only way in and out of the bathroom so there is no way it could have been any person at the investigation.
