Hoosier State Paranormal is a fairly new paranormal research team based in a small town just outside of Indianapolis: Greencastle, IN. The team was founded by Chris Lien in late 2008 quickly including his siblings. By early 2009 the team had grown to over 10 members, almost all of them co-workers at Putnam County Operation Life.
Chris has been interested in the paranormal from a very young age, mainly in UFOlogy and Cryptozoology. He decided to take his interest to the next level after becoming interested in "ghost hunting" after the pop culture explosion of TV shows such as Ghost Hunters. The team did the first investigation in January 2009
In late summer 2009 the team was contacted by Go Go Luckey Productions and Picture Shack Entertainment to be featured on a new TV show. In the early fall, the team filmed a Sizzle Real and was soon filming a pilot episode of Paranormal State: The New Class in January of 2010.
The production company introduced the team to long time investigator John Tenney to join the team as a mentor. Since the group was so new to the thought of paranormal investigating John brought much more to the table as far as knowledge of the particular field. The team instantly gelled with John and the cast was born.
The episode was shown on November 21, 2010 on A&E.
It's up to the network whether or not they will greenlight the series or not. The team is currently in talks with the Network and Production to possibly continue filming more episodes in the future. You can have your voice heard by emailing A&E and Picture Shack Entertainment.
